A Plant Head is responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing and processing operations within the plant, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
The role focuses on driving production excellence, maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and optimizing resource utilization across the facility.
The incumbent will lead plant operations by managing production planning, inventory control, and procurement of materials while ensuring adherence to product specifications.
Additionally, the role involves fostering a strong safety culture, building high-performing teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support production operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and product specifications
Monitor and manage production outputs against targets and take corrective actions for deviations
Plan and schedule processing activities to ensure cost-effective and timely production
Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other operational inputs
Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods
Ensure implementation and adherence to health, hygiene, and safety standards across the plant
Drive a strong “safety-first” culture to ensure employee wellbeing
Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for smooth plant operations
Implement company policies, processes, and operational best practices
Promote effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration within the workforce.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field
8–15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or processing operations
Proven experience in managing plant-level operations independently
Experience in production planning, inventory management, and procurement
Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and drive operational excellence.
