The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our UK team to identify funding opportunities, prepare compelling grant applications, conduct donor research, and manage grant pipelines. This role requires excellent written English, exceptional attention to detail, strong research capabilities, and the ability to tell impactful stories that resonate with funders.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify grant opportunities from UK trusts, foundations, charities, corporate foundations, and international funding organizations.
Write and submit high-quality grant applications, proposals, concept notes, letters of inquiry, and funding requests.
Draft and distribute donor outreach letters and fundraising emails.
Maintain an active grants pipeline and funding opportunities database.
Track grant deadlines, submissions, donor communications, and outcomes.
Conduct prospect research on trusts, foundations, philanthropists, and grant-making organizations.
Collaborate with the UK team to gather project information, budgets, outcomes, and impact data.
Maintain accurate records and reporting systems using Microsoft 365 and Excel.
Prepare weekly activity reports and attend weekly team meetings.
Proactively identify new funding opportunities and fundraising prospects.
Monitor progress against fundraising targets and KPIs.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3 years\' experience in grant writing, fundraising, donor research, proposal development, or a related role.
Strong understanding of UK grant funding, trusts, foundations, and charitable funding mechanisms.
Experience researching and applying for international funding opportunities.
Exceptional written and spoken English.
Excellent storytelling and persuasive writing skills.
Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong research and analytical abilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Experience maintaining grant trackers, databases, and Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary of ₦425,000 per month.
