Egbin Power Plc. Lagos is one of the biggest additions to the electricity industry in Nigeria. Following the nation’s privatization exercise, Sahara, through its power division, Sahara Power Group and sundry affiliations, acquired the 1320 MW installed capacity Egbin Power Plant. We are working towards deploying a minimum of 5,000 MW of electricity generation over the next five years.
Applications are invited for the 2026 Egbin PowerUp Internship Programme (July - December). The programme is designed to equip students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enhancing their skills, building their confidence, and sharpening their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
The internship runs from July - December 2026 and is open to students on Second Class (2:1) or its equivalent as at the time of submitting the application. The programme is open to students studying Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science/Computer Engineering.
