Responsibilities
The Head of Procurement and Inventory Management is tasked with managing and optimizing the procurement processes and inventory management system.
He/she will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective procurement practices, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting the institution's financial objectives.

Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the institution's goals.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and sustainable procurement practices.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements to achieve favorable terms as well as evaluate vendor performance and conduct regular vendor assessments.
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Also implement best practices in procurement, including e-procurement systems if applicable.
Monitor and analyze inventory turnover, identifying and resolving slow-moving or obsolete items and optimizing stock levels by designing & executing efficient inventory management methods.
Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage procurement budgets and ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints and financial goals.
Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks while ensuring all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
Lead and mentor procurement team and inventory management professionals to foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
Develop and maintain procurement and inventory performance metrics and document regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
A minimum of 10 years of cognate experience, 3 of which must have been in a managerial position.
In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, best practices, and market trends.
Experience with procurement software and inventory management.
